Sell your car for parts on your own. They're many people that just need parts. If you can stomach what comes with selling your junk car for part, then that is the best way to go. You will make more money then any salvage yard, salvager, or scrap yard would pay you.

Another option to get cash for your junk car is to sell all working parts separately. It might be a challenge to take the whole car apart and wait for buyers to come, but some people prefer this option.

The simplest and best way to do so is to speak to a used car salesman. They should be able to advise how much they think they would be able to sell the car for if they were selling it to make a profit for themselves. If the car is so old and broken down and that cannot be salvaged, then there is the chance that there is no salesman who would want to sell it. In this instance the only available option would be to sell it to a junk-yard. Make notes on the part or parts you are looking for and see what the best prices you are able to find . Remember, if you can get the same part locally for less than what you are finding on the net (don't forget to include the tax) then you might want to consider buying locally.

Contacting manufacturers, discussing the requirements details, getting your shipment and listing your parts - the entire process usually takes about 3 weeks in the beginning. Once you start selling, the process becomes your second nature, and the profits start flowing. The more parts you buy and sell, the more profits you reap.
